Wealth projection.
Adjust the inputs to see a projected range of outcomes. The projection uses a lognormal model with the expected return and volatility of each risk profile. Results are illustrative, not investment advice or a forecast.

How the projection is computed
The projection uses a lognormal model:
E[V_t] = V_0 · e^(μt) + C · (e^(μt) − 1) / (e^μ − 1)
where μ = ln(1 + expected_return) is the log drift, C is the annual contribution, and t is the horizon in years.
Percentile bands scale the median by exp(±|z| · σ · √t / 2), where z is the standard normal quantile (1.282 for 10th/90th) and σ is the profile volatility. This is an approximation suitable for illustration; it is not a Monte Carlo simulation.
Inflation adjustment divides the nominal median by (1 + inflation)^t using the assumed rate in calculator.json.
Calculator projections are computed from the assumed expected returns and volatilities stored in src/data/market.json. Percentile bands use a lognormal model with the per-profile expected return and volatility. These are illustrative, not forecasts, and are not investment advice.
Projections are illustrative and are not investment advice, a performance forecast, or a guarantee of future returns. Real outcomes differ, sometimes materially.
